Donato Semeraro is a composer, arranger, conductor and teacher. He graduated in French Horn at Monopoli Conservatoire under Maestro Pietro Palmisano and in Concert Band Instrumentation under Maestro Vincenzo Anselmi. He also studied Composition, Choral Music and Band Conducting and attended master classes with renowned teachers: Hermann Baumann, Barry Tuckwell, Radovan Vlatkovic, Christopher Larkin, Simone Barboncini, Giancarlo Parodi and Michele Lomuto. He played as soloist and in ensembles in all Europe, Palestina and Israele. Since 1994 he conducts the “Orchestra di fiati giovani citta’ di Cisternino”, a Youth Concert Band that he has conducted in several countries and with which he won international contests as best conductor. From 1995 to 2002 he has taught French horn and chamber music at Arezzo Music Secondary School, Tuscany. He is actually professor of French Horn at Vibo Valentia Conservatoire of Music and at the “Polytechnic Institute of the Arts” of the same city.
